Omen

A Changeling seer may get a glimpse into the future that will have direct impact on their life. To cast this spell, the seer must make their inquiry in the form of a question (e.g. “If I do x action, what will be the likely result?”). In game terms, the Storyteller will roll the appropriate dice for the seer and allow them to know the result of their roll before they commit to doing it. The seer may then decide whether to carry out the action when the appropriate time comes. If the seer changes too many parameters of the task before leading up to the action, the roll may become invalidated. Example, if a Changeling seer asks, “If I take this test without studying, what will be the result?” The Storyteller will roll the Character’s Intelligence + Knowledge to discern how they will perform. If the result comes back that the seer will score a 95% on the test, they may do something rash like go out drinking with their friends the night before assuming they will be fine for the test. However, now that they have a hangover the morning of the test, the roll is invalidated, because they have not only neglected to study for the test, but they are also mentally impaired. The storyteller is the final arbitrator of whether enough has changed to negate the omen roll, and they do not need to warn the player that they have sufficiently changed the timeline to invalidate their omen.

System

Cost: (1 Glamour Trait).   Range: N/A.   Special 1: The spell caster can only receive an omen involving actions that they are planning to take part in. They will not be able to see the results of group efforts or their opponent's actions if the action is resisted. They will only have a sense that their personal performance was either good or bad.   Roll: Perception + Awareness.   Base Difficulty: 6. A failure indicates no omen is received, while a botch results in incorrect information.   Damage: N/A (This power cannot be used to cause direct damage to a target).   Prerequisites: None.

Chimerical Powers

Chimerical Cantrips affect the realm of the Dreaming. They are effective against Fae, other Changelings, and Chimera, but they cannot be easily used against mortals or supernatural creatures dwelling in the Prime Reality Plane. Before a Changeling can use a Chimerical Cantrip on a mortal, the target must become enchanted first. A human that is naturally sleeping and dreaming is considered self-enchanted and as their mind is visiting the realm of the Active Dreaming
