Knowledge: Physics
Physics is the scientific study of mater, energy, and motion. This branch of knowledge includes the study of gravity, thermodynamics, and kinetic motion and, therefore, has numerous applications for scientists working in the fields of energy production, Mathematics, Hyper Technology, Astronavigation, and the continued study of the physical universe. As a general rule, a character must make a Physics + Intelligence roll any time they desire to understand or use a scientific principle relating to matter or energy. Common information rolls using Physics include articulating a physical law of nature (such as the second law of Thermodynamics), understanding how the four universal forces (gravity, magnetism, and the strong and weak nuclear forces) affect certain objects, and conducting small demonstrations of a well known physical principle (such as the attraction of matter towards a center of gravity). Physics study rolls involve creating an experiment to test a new Physics hypothesis, applying laws of motion to dream up new gadgets and machines, and discovering new applications for more advanced forms of Physics such as quantum mechanics and chaos theory.
