Furry Class Changelings

Furry Class Changelings are born out of human dreams of play, trickery, and childish imagination. Furry class characters tend to be eccentric and fun loving when their Seelie natures are active. Unseelie Furries tend to favor pranks and elaborate schemes that can injure a lot more than a person’s pride. All Furries have an animal affinity and can shapeshift when their Fae seeming is active.  

Appearance:

  The Fey seeming of a Furry Class Changeling will always have physical characteristics that give clues regarding their animal affinity. A Furry that can change into a horse, for example, might have a mane of hair, large blocky teeth, and an elongation of their face reminiscent of a horse. A bystander who is familiar with the look of a Furry's affinity animal will almost always be able to identify the likeness in the Furry's fey seeming.

Lifestyle and Aging:

  • Childlings (Age: 5-12). Young Furrys have the energy, cuteness, and playfulness of baby animals. They have a fondness mischief and learn quickly how to look innocent when they are up to something.

  • Wilders (Age: 13-18). Teen-aged Furrys tend to be pranksters, class clowns, and troublemakers. Their natural skills for deception and empathy make them highly unpredictable and prone to acting out in over the top ways.

  • Grumps (Age 19 +). As adults, Furry Class Changelings find themselves working the sort of jobs that keep them in the spotlight, often becoming entertainers, animal trainers, and politicians. Grump Furrys detest mundanity and boredom in all its forms and succumb to banality if forced to "grow up" and be completely responsible.

Birthrights and Frailties

  Birthright: Shapeshifting. Each Furry class changeling has an affinity for an animal of their choice. The transformation process takes a full round to complete.   Birthright: Confidant. Furry class changelings are naturally gregarious and can easily win the trust of others. They can never botch an empathy roll.   Frailty: Lies. Once per conversation, a Furry class changeling must tell a deliberate lie. In order to tell the whole truth a Furry must make a Self-Control roll with a Difficulty = 8.
