Attribute: Intelligence

Intelligence is the raw measure of your Character's IQ, computational prowess, and capability to process and organize large data sets with precision.  Intelligence sums up both your character's ability to retain knowledge and their ability to reach conclusions based on that knowledge.  Intelligence is not how fast your character can think (that's Wits), instead it is the measure of how deeply your character can think and how sound the analysis will be when the processing is finished.  As a general rule, Intelligence rolls involve precision and taking one's time, while Wits involves quick assessment and decision making.

Attribute Levels:

0	Abysmal. Like a goldfish, you barely have object permanence.  You cannot comprehend or process the world beyond your most basic survival instincts.
1	Poor: Basic arithmetic is a challenge for your character, and they barely link conceptual ideas together save for the most basic functions of cause and effect.
2	Average: You understand that everything in the world has meanings and implications, and your brain is able to sort data into helpful categories most of the time.
3	Good: Your character is capable to putting together interesting conclusions from the data that surrounds them.  You can often perform math in your head, and recall facts learned ages ago.
4	Excellent: You are able to process esoteric concepts with the best of them, and apply the rules of logic and reason to connect data to your conclusions.
5	Outstanding: You are probably a member of a thinktank or on the faculty of a prestigious school or agency.  People come to you with difficult problems that need solving.
6	Paragon: Your character is successfully juggling mountains of data in their brains and constantly defragging the old meat-hard drive to make new connections and revisit past assumptions.
7	Super Human: Your characters is one of the smartest people to have ever existed.  The only limits to your ability to compute data is your access to the data in the first place.

Common Intelligence Based Rolls:

• Intelligence + Research. When rolling to acquire new information from published sources.
• Intelligence + Hypertech. When rolling to invent a new piece of technology.
• Intelligence + Occult. When casting most arcane forms of magic.
• Intelligence + a Knowledge. When trying to retain facts or see the big picture of a discipline.
• Intelligence + Investigation. When rolling to collect data and reach a logical conclusion.
• Intelligence + Linguistics. When trying to determine patterns in an unknown language or code.
