Star-trapped magicules

[Prompt: A material or natural resource that comes from a dangerous location]   Whenever Olua swims through a star, uncountable particles flow over and into her body, where they are absorbed by the beings living on her surfaces, as well as Olua herself. Among these many atoms are magically charged particles called magicules, particularly valuable for their will-responsive properties. Most of these particles get snapped up by some species or another quite quickly, but there are some pockets of Oluan scales where they remain, trapped, instead.   The most famous region of trapped particles has to be her head. Every child has heard a hundred stories of explorers who ventured to the head and saw glowing fields of magicules, ripe for the taking... if only they could get to them.   Those who tell the tale only live because they turned back. They saw the sad reality not all explorers do: that there is no going to Olua's head and living. There's good reason for that: where most of the planet's body is covered by a protective, insulating bubble, her head is naked to the cosmic elements. Olologists theorize this exposure enables her to capture and "eat" more sunlight, but the reason is ultimately unknown. Whatever the case, the lack of atmosphere renders the head of Olua utterly uninhabitable.   Even if someone were to develop gear protective enough to shield them from radiation, they would have to contend with dramatically reduced gravity (the head can be considered almost a completely separate body from the rest of Olua) and the unpredictable movements of life. More than likely, they would get thrown off Olua's head and into space before they could establish proper anchorage. Surely, the bodies of hundreds of would-be harvestmen spin, frozen, in space.   It is quite a shame the head of Olua is so decidedly hostile. Those magicules could be put to good use. And it would be wonderful to interact with our mother-home at the head. Alas, it is not meant to be.   Perhaps it is for the best. Those glowing, golden, untouched fields of magic are truly gorgeous. They make Olua into a miniature, traveling star her own.
