Planet Cybertron

The home world of the transformers, once a shining jewel of metal and golden light with two artificial moons and torus surrounding it. Today, Cybertron drifts in the dark between the stars, accompanied by a single moon a ring floating debris. Although the millennia-long Great War between autobots and decepticons rendered Cybertron almost uninhabitable, thanks to the titanic effort of the surviving cybertronians cybertronians and support from Earth and many of its former colonies, the planet is slowly recovering from the devastation that befell it. Since time immemorial Cybertron is a fully industrialized planet, with most its crust is formed by layers upon layers pipes, railings, and infrastructure that was built upon as the ages passed. The surface of the planet now is covered with ruins of once great cities and glassy craters made by weapons of mass-destruction. The only permanent settlement on the surface of Cybertron is currently New-Iacon, only a few miles away from the destroyed old capital, although temporary shelters and underground bases were established near other cities such as Kaon, Polyhex and Crystal city as well. Despite its ruins, the semi-intelligent mechanical beasts that roam them, and devastating rust storms that constantly ravage its surface, the situation has been improving on Cybertron in past few years. Starting from New-Iacon, cybertronians that returned home are slowly repairing the infrastructure, and long dry pipelines are again delivering energon to the surface.

Geography

Cybertron's surface consists of many layers of technological debris, forming shells around the planet's core. These shells are not complete however, and one can easily find openings that run several miles deep, and platforms at various hights. The top layer of the planet is riddled with pipelines and highways, and speed tubes. Settlements are often built vertically forming kilometer tall metallic towers.

Ecosystem

The Great Cybertronian War left the planets natural (technologilcal) ecosystem in shambles. After almost two centuries of hard allowed a handful natural energon lakes to reform on the surface, and feral cybertronian lifeforms a far and few between. Those that occasionally prowl the surface are vicious predators.

Localized Phenomena

Cybertron's surface layers are often hit by rust storms. Especially dangerous stroms often carry ionized or highly radiactive particles.

Climate

Cybertron is a rouge planet that is not warmed by any nearby star for millenia. The temperatures are only elevated by the planets core and radiactivty, making quite cold (-100 C on average)

Natural Resources

The planet's crust almost entirely made out of refined metals and glasses. Further, Cybertron's core produces energon, an excellent energy source, and fuel to its inhabitants
