Qualifications

To be a fully fledged hosser the individual must have completed their tutelage in Taren at the academy there.

Career Progression

Hosser is the final degree awarded medical professionals. Less experienced medical students are often referred to Healers.

Payment & Reimbursement

All medical persons are forbidden from accepting payment of any kind, including monetary or valuable gifts. They may be given special honors in a home, fed a ceremonial meal, or offered a place to rest.
Hossers are cared for by their state; they receive housing, food, and other necessities in exchange for their selfless service.

In the earliest records, hossers were forbidden from servicing females or slaves since they were considered expendable.
