Justice
Hazy fog slowly begins to dissappate as the morning sun comes up over the horizon, two armies stand in wait on opposite sides of a large, open field. One again the cities of Axbrine and Torres are battling for control of the Totham river and the trade supply chain that comes with it. Justice Knox Blightborn, the leader of the Torres Militia, is perched upon his steed at the front of his army. With long, galloping strides, he races back and forth across the front line, shouting encouragement and reciting the many tenets of the Path of The Gauntlet to the men and women that fight by his side. His soldiers pound their shields as he passes and the energy is palpable. These soldiers love their commander. On the other side of the field, Justice Bromlen Lithburn III, clad in gleaming, unblemished armor, stands in the back of his war cart, looking out over his army from the back of the pack. A sneer creases across his face as he looks upon the fivolus masses that he has brought to be chewed up and spit out by the war machine. As always, better them than himself. Let the peasants squabble it out amongst themselves. At the end of the day, only one of these Justices will still live, only one army will walk away, and one city will end the day with control of the shipping lanes and the commerce therein. But which will it be?
Upholders of Peace and Order
It is the duty of the Justice of a city to oversee training and to command the cities militia. This position is one of appointment by the city's Arbiter, and typically one of great prominence and clout. There are some that thrive in this position, finding joy and comradarie in the shoulder to shoulder life of a soldier. Others are after the esteem and political influence that comes with the title of Justice.
