Short war

Between shifters and elves on Lafliuton it lasted two weeks. It started on the first day of the fourth month during harvest time. A young male shifter from a canine pack, named Alrik, kidnaped an elven princess from her home, named Azariah. Is what the elves said. The canine pack said that Alrik had met Azariah in the forest as he was traveling home from another pack on business for his father Deriston, who was pack leader. Azariah said that she was running away from home because of who her parents wanted her to marry. A week after Azariah and Alrik arrived back, there were some shifters, who wandering in the forrest close to the elven home. The elves took captive three of the shifters. They were then questioned about Azariah the princess. Deriston was informed by a fourth that escaped capture. Deriston sent an emissary to the elves to request the release of their people. Deriston and Alrik didn’t associate the attack on their people with Azariah as she was free to go and do what she wanted and was not being held captive. Once they arrived Thallan, Azariah’s father refused saying he wanted his daughter back from the thieving shifters. The shifters said that no one had been kidnapped. Thanllan repsonded back that they would attack in three days if the princess was not returned. The emissary returned to Deriston and told what he asked Azariah to come talk to him. Azariah said she left on her own free will, but her father would always assume the worse. On the third day Thallan with his elven warriors marched up to the waiting shifters warriors with Deriston, Alrik and Azariah standing at the head of the warriors. Thallan with a two guards walked forward as Deriston, Alrik, Azariah. Once they close they could talk. Azariah told her father to back off as she ran away not that they kidnapped her. They talked a little longer before Azariah went back with her father as the ones that had been held captive were to be set free as soon as possible. The two armies headed back to their homes, but later that night once again Azariah was back with the others. The next morning Thallan arrived again wanting her daughter back. By this time Azariah and Alrik had feelings for each other. This time Amara, Azariah’s mother showed up two hours after Thallan. She sat Azariah, and Thallan sat down to talk. The out come of this war was the first marriage between an elf and shifter recorded on Laufliuton.
