Log of Marconé and the Marscatio Kar'Nia Cult

February 14th, 1180   Well I've finally arrived in Marscatio, and I think I've finally thrown off the mages pursuing me. Damned wizards are relentless, but at least they won't be able to scry on me now. This city is so much bigger than Quorone, streets filled with people from all over the world, shouldn't be too hard to lose myself here. Hopefully it won't be to long until by companions join me here, I'm eager to get a new base of operations set up here.   July 8th, 1180   I must say being chased out of Marintia might've been the best thing to happen to me yet! We've got ourselves quite the nice base, hidden into the cliff behind a few buildings, no hidden ways to get to us and nice and defensible. Of coarse a thieves guild already had the place occupied, but they're no longer an issue. We've taken up their former business and giving bribes to the same guards, no one will even know the difference. I won't make the same mistakes I did in Marintia, we'll limit the number of people we sacrifice this time, play it nice and smart.   (The next few entries detail their business, their sacrifices to Kar'Nia and the growth of their cult)   March 28th, 1184   We've received a clear message from our Bloody Patron. We will be having company soon, people to aid in the coming destruction. I can't say I'm overly happy to be working with followers from Ulumnier and Oflycus, the former are always so serious and humourless, the latter always smell of stale piss and dog shit, but the goddess has spoken and her word is law. Something big must be coming if she's resorted to working with the other chaos gods, and I'm eager to find out what.   April 14th, 1184   Finally got those visitors we've been warned about, the Congregation they call themselves under the lead of Rametik. Not as bad as I thought they would be, but their still some ugly fuckers alright. Says they need a stealthy way to get into Lustinia, that their god has some business for them in Libria. Got about two dozen barrels of the good stuff with them too, hellish spores, one of the most contagious diseases in existence. My money's on them hitting the big holy tree they got in town, that'll ruin the place nice and good. Going to have to stock up on food, we'll make a fortune once the plague hits. Good thing we've got this business going, Elandier won't mind rushing an order of potions to conceal them for us without any unnecessary questions, as long as we pay him well. Should be able to get them across the sea by next week.   April 20th, 1184   Well things have really gone tits up. Somebody must've squaked because the witch hunters here in Marscatio just butchered the Warriors of Gimmerak this morning. We had to rush in and sneak away as many of them as we could, nearly blew our cover too, but we managed to get Gimmerak and a few of his closest out of the fighting. Going to be a bitch and a half getting them out of the city, but they've got a mission to do at Fort Feldspatha and our goddess said to aid them in any way we could. She better appreciate what were doing here.
