Tortle

Tortles are typically simple creatures, preferring to live in coastal settlements and keep to themselves.  However, the desire for divine connection runs deep in them, which often results in many clerical prophets, saints, and 'avatars' to be discovered.  These individuals often lead their communities on strange, silly, or violent expeditions in the service to their deities.
Most tortles abhor arcane magic and science, preferring "natural magics".
