Raiment of the Forge Deceiver - armor
This painted bronze splint mail appears to be a crumbled, rusted, and partially melted antiquity of once immaculate dwarven craftmanship. Runes worked into the shoulder plates identify this armor as once belonging to Faidreen Druevein, a 3rd son of clan dynasty Druevein.
Unfortunately, this armor bears the magic and malice of Faidreen. In an attempt to climb into the throne he was born too far from, he secreted into his sister's forge, the master smith Xavadra, and grabbing her from behind in a moment of deceit, he plunged her face first into her own magma fueled forge fire. His armor having been specifically ensorcelled to withstand such flames, he held her in the blistering heat even as his flesh and steel melted and warped in agony.
In an attempt to hide his deed, he further enchanted his mail so that none would know of its history, appearing as whatever fine armor he wished.
