Ghoerokka's Screwdriver - tool

This ancient gnomish device resembles a thick screwdriver with multiple gears along the side, places to pull out various blades, tools, and pins in the main body, and an altimiter/compass in the stock.  It looks to be of Ochregnome origin, and was originally intended for the Order of Gold Masons, an arcane order of anitechnologists that unionized after creating Walk Gold God.  The arcane runes denoting that this device belonged to a "journeyman" can be seen on the handle.
While underground, the altimiter/compass glows faintly with green glow shroom dust, and the altimiter can tell the depth of the item relative to the ground, while the compass only points to the nearest point of egress that leads to ascension.  
Unfortunately, this device also picked up something else from its previous owner.  The constant, barely audible muttering and cursing of an old gnome that really, really, really dislikes "this new generation."
