Cosmology - Planets & Moons

Caveorth has five planets and two moons in it's firmament.

Moons

Nanna

Nanna is the largest moon that orbits Caveorth. It is tidally locked with enough gravitational pull to affect tides and force geological activity. The surface of Nanna is pearlescent with a slight rose sheen, especially pronounced when viewed at lower arcs.
It is often thought by laymen that Nanna is home to Zubut his cult has different interpretations of this gross oversimplification.

Suin

Suin is the smaller moon that orbits Caveorth. It is a tidally locked body, but either due to its mass or distance from Caveorth, does not exert much overt effects on the tides or geological forces of its host planet. However, Suin's orbit can create 'super tides' when they coincide with those of Nanna. The surface of Suin is often pale yellow, which is far more pronounced during its lower arcs.

Planets

Kayyam

Kayyam is the furthest visible planet from Caveorth, and is a large brilliant yellow gold star that some gnomish enclaves have claimed is surrounded by a luminous halo. This planet is seen as the home or body of Ninnikka.

Kronlil

Kronlil is the largest celestial planet visible from Caveorth. Its position in culture, cosmology, and religion is ever changing with the syncretism of divine forces. Currently it is believed that this planet represents the divine body or home of Marduuk.

Ninsi

Ninsi is the brightest planet visible in the evening sky, and its presence is often used in fortune telling from everything to agriculture, husbandry, to fertility. It is viewed as the body and home of Ishtar.

Salbat

Salbat is the closest planet to Caveorth, and appears as a large, bright reddish star in the sky. It's presence is used both in navigation and as an omen for soothsayers and kings of impending war, famine, and plague. It is often associated as the body or home of Nargoul when he is not residing in the underworld.

Siht

Siht is the smallest planet visible from Caveorth, often confused by a bright star by the ignorant. This is the home or body of Nasu, as it rapidly spreads writings and messages among the heavens.
