Avi's Neakraw - periapt

This periapt is a gorgeous pearl inlaid with fine coral dust and set in platinum. Jewelry of this style is often worn by new Sea Elf brides as a sign of their first century of marital commitment. This particular Neakraw belonged to Avi'leathdea, a former fisherwife whos village was raided by Sahuagin after it was infiltrated by a malenti. This malenti happened to be her husband. Stricken with grief and guilt, she swam into the deepest parts of the abyss where no elf can live and no elf returns.
On the centennial of her wedding, she appeared from the abyss, having learned the darkest secrets from Aaazu himself. She used this knowledge to grab the great bloatfish by the tail, and forever make its flesh poisonous to all who would dare eat it. Unfortunately for Sahuagin, this was their favorite delicacy, and the resulting deaths of unknown thousands of Sahuagin to the patient treachery of Avi'leathdea's revenge is still taught to elven children as a cautionary tale.
Anytime the wearer of this neakraw is reminded of its presence, by sight, touch, or the glance of others, they instantly feel the bottled pain of a century of guilt and heartbreak. After a breath, the pain passes. Usually.  
Whenever Sahuagin, be they malenti or not, are within 120ft of the bearer, the neakraw emits pearlescent light.
