Aad'llvier's Ballistae - longbow

This anitech bow, created sometime during the height of the empire around 300 AV, Aad'llvier's Ballistae bears runes and artistic imagery that mark it of Imperial design.  Originally intended for the Huunderial Aatramophis (Warlock Hunter) Aad'llvier, but after her death at the hands of extra planar magic, found its way back to her family estate and was passed down and used for two generations before becoming lost somewhere near Kal'ithahk.  In order to better hunt those that would potentially defy the empire, anitech stators were woven into the railing of the bow to lace arrows as they left the horn.  Such magic lagged behind the arrow in space-time, and would strike the target mere moments after the arrow struck, while also striking before the arrow found its mark.  These anitech enchantments would lace the target with weave anchor, making it very difficult for the quarry to escape should they survive the bowshot.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

When powered with a soul orb, this bow functions as a Longbow +1. 
The user may also expend a charge of a loaded soul orb to cast Ensnaring Strike. Using the bow this way does not require concentration, but the spell is expended on the next attack regardless if the attack hits or misses. The Save DC for for this is DC 15
