Who are you in the world of Cathedris?

Life is tough here. Some countries may fare better than others -- Russin and Hansun are known for relatively high standards of living, while Artazia is a brutal mountainous country where might and physical prowess is valued over all else. If you live anywhere near a God-husk, you likely know what it's like to live under the oppressive protection of the Legion, as they handle outbreaks of incredibly dangerous Rendlings.   Many corporations are beginning to amass huge quantities of power and wealth, as safety precautions are dropped in the pursuit of even more profit. Factories are smoke belching deathtraps that many adults, and even kids in many countries, must work within for the majority of their waking hours. Silver tongued sleazy salesmen wander from town to town in an attempt to gain access to some of that hard earned coin by selling whatever is "newest and shiniest", even if said item is nothing but a farce.   If not working in a factory, perhaps you've chosen the path of protection, combat, and power -- that of the Legion. They have a presence that is felt worldwide, as they're the power that protects everyone from Rendlings. They use this prestige to pressure governments into making decisions that benefit the Legion above all else, and some say that there's not a country in the world that isn't controlled by the Legion in some manner. However, the larger the Legion grows, the harder it is for them to view all that goes on; in particular, there's growing dissent within their own ranks, and the entire organization might soon see an uprising it didn't expect.   Whether you're a Legionnaire, a factory worker, government official, or a wandering salesperson, there's always a chance that you might have some interaction with Catalurgy. While there's still a public stigma associated with Catalurgy, due to the fact it requires the blood of the God-husks to function, there's still enough Catalurgists out in the wild that you've likely run into multiple. Perhaps you even are one, surviving the brutal implantation procedure where you received the organ that lets you process Ichor and do magic.   Finally, if either none of those, or all of those interest you, you might be a Comprilith explorer. This tower is constantly shifting and incredibly dangerous, yet contains untold numbers of secrets within.
This was a tiny overview of the types of characters you might be! Of course, there's any number of combinations or other types as well. Let me know what interests you!

As for me, what I really want to do is create some ongoing characters I can reference in multiple articles, or post as on these discussion boards :D   I think three to start with would be good. Maybe spread the viewpoints out over some of the important organizations within Cathedris.   Character 1: Legionnaire dissenter. Still working under the Legion, but spreading rumours and leaking secrets. They know a surprisingly large amount about the Legion and this lets me tell interesting facts! Character 2: Factory worker or Ichor extractor. Some regular citizen, non catalurgist, working away to earn any money they can. Gives a perspective of the regular human!   Character 3: A Catalurgist! Of course I need a Catalurgist character. I can introduce spells through them, give a personal viewpoint of the surgery, and talk of how they're treated by the public.   What do you think? :D
