Pepe and Bill meet Buttercup

Pepe and Bill meet Buttercup in one of the opening uprisings of the Kitty Rebellion on Catopia when they both helped save some kittens from a burning school.

After Buttercup became disillusioned with the Meow Order and her mom Shelby, she rebelliously went out of her mom’s estate in Catopolis (Catopia City). After going around and not feeling any purpose and being unsure what to think of the Meow Order but just wanting to resist her mom, Buttercup stumbled across an uprising. In the caos of the revolt, a stray round hit a kitten school and the building set fire. Buttercup rushed in to save the kids and teachers trapped in the building. Meanwhile Bill and Pepe, who are already acquainted friends, join the initial uprising and see the burning school around the same time as Buttercup. Pepe and Bill jump into action to help save everyone in the school. They end up running into Buttercup and helping her save cats without knowing who she was or what her allegiances were. Shortly after everyone was safely out of the building and out of harm’s way, a squad of Imperial Catopian soldiers surround Pepe and Bill as they are assessing the situation. The commander recognizes Buttercup and congratulates her for capturing insurgent rebels. Since she is already mad, Buttercup gets more angry at the commander’s disregard for Pepe and Bill’s efforts to save innocent lives and she didn’t even try to capture them or help the Meow Order effort. This was a critical moment for Buttercup that was a big push to oppose the Catopian Empire. She then reacted quickly with anger and attacked the commander with her claws and gave a distraction for Pepe and Bill to take down the surrounding soldiers. Amidst the caos, Pepe and Bill still had no clue who Buttercup was but now figured she had turned against the Meow Order troops. They then escaped the caos together and acquainted themselves with each other. Now, Pepe and Bill were fully aware of who they were dealing with, and they told their rebel superior about what had happened and they explained how Buttercup had saved them and the innocent civilizations. The superiors and other soldiers were suspicious of her however, suspecting she was a spy and not to be trusted. Buttercup had gained Pepe and Bill’s trust and friendship, which would change all of their lives.
