Third Council of Dragons

The Draconion army led by the war-minded Graloth defeat an army of giants that have attacked the kingdom. On their return journey to Lilgar a group of mountain giants ambush the force and though they are forced to retreat land a fatal blow against Graloth. With the Dragon-King of Draconia slain a new Council of Dragons is called. After years of military expansion and endless pursuit of plunder the dragons choose Porodothas Aeneus, a dragon known for his life of discipline, who banished all luxury from his lair.   Porodonthas believed the young Kingdom of Draconia beset by numerous monsters, needed a ruler who would lead their armies, not someone who lived a life of piety and reflection. He flew to Divinum Mons where the summus dracerdos, Tiszentuth Argentea was currently residing. After five days of counsel from Tiszentuth Argentea where it is said the summus dracerdos used powerful divination spells to contact the sprit of Lilgaradelar, Porodonthas accepted the Diventia, the tokens of power that were bestowed upon the Dragon-King.   Porodonthas was not interested in war and his first act was to remove the Talons of Erenkyl as his personal guard. He named the Talons as protectors of Erenkyl's holy shrines and guardians of the dragonborn. A few of the Talons were selected to serve each temple while the remainder were given positions of authority in defense of the growing settlements of the Kingdom of Draconia. This act served to further connect the Talons of Erenkyl to service in the god and bolstered the defenses of the settled lands.   Porodonthas was traditionally celebrated by the Draconians for his wisdom and piety. Porodonthas wrote the account of Lilgaradelar's death and ascension to the Upper Planes as deity through use of the Diventia. It is believed that he had a direct and personal relationship with the avatar of Lilgaradelar, who taught him to be a wise leader. After the death of Tiszentuth, Porodonthas named Bithmirhol Cupri as summus dracerdos, who he emplyed as a scribe to create several "sacred books". Preferring that the rules and rituals prescribed by Erenkyl be preserved not simply in the living memory but recorded for subsequent generations. Lastly Prodonthas along with several priests of Erenkyl and the summus dracerdos Bithmirhol developed the current calendar of Draconia based on the First Dragon Council called by Lilgaradelar.
