Oshis

Oshis-Teaviras Ravaeolmauas be’Son (Firstspear Oshis Ravaeolma of Son) is a male Korasha and veteran Shotalashu spear-rider and reeve. He also serves as the flag’s acting champion, and unofficially (in a veteran warrior-flag full of firstspears and firstbows) as the flag’s firstspear, partially due to his proven prowess and partially under Lady Vaeol’s favor as her fathermate. Under the peculiarity of being a Shotalshu-riding Korasha, 

Oshis was bullied in youth with accusation of unmanliness, an insult he tried to refute by sleeping with as many wives as possible (an unhealthy habit in a matriarchy) and has been ban-cursed in more cities more often than even he knows. Ironically, the only time he was officially banished was not his fault, but when Lady Vaeol fell victim to the Komori illness on her bridetide, and her mother wrongly blamed him. 

He has found an understanding and permissive soulmate in Erymi as his wifemate, however, who has also coached him toward some self-reflection. By his own count, he has seven children, ranging from Zheye his oldest daughter, who is almost of militia age back in Son, to the youngest, unofficial, Jeieveth, who was just born to a skyrider captain back in Ofu-Laubu who has complicated connections to the queen’s palace.
