Kresnite

Kresnite is an orange-yellow goopy substance created by much of the wildlife of Castores in order to survive the harsh cold of the winter years. Many priesthoods, mostly those who revere fire, claim it is the gift of their god. However, it is the Amukreen  and their patron deity who have the best claim, as their very blood is mixed with it.
The substance is warm to the touch and is enough to allow someone to survive in the cold of Castores when worn in pouches or canisters. Can be concentrated to produce enough heat and flame to cook or forge weapons without creating smoke, essential for maintaining underground settlements.
