High Speed Automated Courier System

The High Speed Automated Courier System (HSAC) is a piece of Rowsite's infrastructure. It connects buildings together in an elaborate microtunnel system. The system can deliver messages, scrolls, and small items.

Utility

It is used to send messages and small items between locations. It is used in numerous government buildings to send urgent messages. However, other uses of it is to send small items between shop to essentially have a collective invetory that's shared between all stores. Often times, shops owned by the same owner will send potions, herbs, scrolls, and currency. Of course, they are also used to send messages.   The system is considered more secure than in-person couriers due to the lack of threat of theft.

Manufacturing

The system was created by the inventors Righallow and was implemented with the help of the inventors in Rowsite through The Mind. New systems are installed and maintained by the mind. Every messanger port has a symbol of the Mind.

Social Impact

This system isn't widely implemented, however, couriers used to be more prevalient in the upper district. Since the implementation of the HSAC system couriers are less commonly seen in the upper district. You still do see a few couriers but are only used for carrying larger objects that can't fit inside the HSAC messanger tubes. In the other places where the HSAC system isn't as widespread you still see couriers walking about carrying on the business. However, there is a bit of a revolt. The HSAC also made the use of quick emergency messages easier to communicate to the Arm making crime less prevalient in areas where HSAC is present.
Inventor(s)
Brimorn Tinkerdrop was at the head of the invention at Righallow. HIs team did a lot of work to figure out the routing system. HIs contributions were majorly centered around the pressure system that moves the messanger tubes. As well as the rotating repository of messanger tubes.
Access & Availability
HCAS is available to anyone who can afford the installation cost. The installastion cost differs from location to location. It usually cost anywhere between 240PP - 750PP. Often the only buildings that can afford the service are large corprations and very successful buisnesses.
Complexity
The system is very complex with underground automated hubs of machinery take incoming messanger tubes in a rotating repository of other messanger. The rotating repo gets instructions from the depature port to know where the message is going. It then collects the messages and rotates into the correct collection tube and sends the message tube to the arrival port. Each port can act as an arrival and departure port. The messanger tubes are propelled by negative pressure created in an offsite air system used as cooling for other systems.
