Azefrost

Azefrost, the largest uninhabited landmass on Carthya. It's permenantly frozen and in almost constant snowfall. The water around the landmass has frozen over and holds no intelligent life that people know of.

Geography

Azefrost is located at the southern most point of Carthya. It's has mountains and hills and valleys. Even though it's forzen, there are places of respite underground. The caves in azefrost are largely unexplored. Filled with dangerous creatures, not much is known about them.

Ecosystem

The life above ground is sparse. There are creatures that live here but most of the action is below ground. Vast labyrinths of homes for creatures long forgotten. Mysteries lost to time. Many of the creatures you find here can't be found anywhere else.

Ecosystem Cycles

The caves change with the rotation of the earth. The above isn't affected. Cold, constant snowfall and winds cover the land year round. Below becomes colder during certain times of the year. At times the condensation from the outside starts to build on the ceilings and falls down creating an almost rainlike effect. Hundreds of feet underground holds hot springs and floods that drain out into the ground. Life forms that grow during certain times of the year.

Localized Phenomena

Underground rainfall: Percipitation from the ambient air condensates on the ceilings and walls creating an effect that makes it seem like the walls are crying. During heavy condensation, it will seem like there's rain falling down.

History

Azefrost has a history of being explored. Different explorers came to Azefrost in search of resources or fame. The ones that have come back have nothing to share but horrific stories of weather or creatures that can be found elsewhere. No settlements have been set here.

Tourism

Due to the nature of Azefrost, the dangerous creatures and the harsh weather, little exploration has been done in Azefrost. People don't go here.
