Durain Isle

This equatorial subcontinent is divided into two major areas: Dorian and Sodor. (”Durain”is the adjective for the place called “Dorian.”) In truth, it is home to more than a dozen tribes of dragon masters. These ebony-skinned wizards carry on ancient traditions of fighting, taming, and training dragons from Siné and Bok. 
Durain dragons are mostly pets, none larger than a horse, and most the size of small dogs. They are domesticated versions of the dark worms that now crawl from their holes in the east. Against these monsters, the Durain people have little defense.
Most of the Durain trade with the mainland occurs in the cosmopolitan capital of Erbor, on the north coast of the island. Farther south, the continent is mostly tropical jungle, with some desert at the southern tip of Sodor.
