Tiefling
Having either Infernal or Abyssal heritage, a Tiefling is naturally able to wield dark powers. Adept at negotiation and subterfuge, Tieflings are as at home on the battlefield, as they are behind an alley, or in a private negotiation for a business contract.
Tiefling Character Traits
Tieflings might not have an innate tendency toward evil, but many of them end up there. Evil or not, an independent nature inclines many tieflings toward a chaotic alignment.
Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision: Thanks to your infernal heritage, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Hellish Resistance: You have resistance to fire damage.
Faustian Tiefling
The Atupol came upon villages of Devils early in the history of Hestia. Similarly to the Half-Orcs, once conquered, these Devils integrated with the humans of the Atupol until Tieflings became more common than full-blooded devils. A Faustian Tiefling is fully a member of Atupol society, and rarely if ever betrays their people in favor of their Infernal roots.
Faustian Tieflings tend to be smaller than their Venal counterparts. Their horns tend to be thin and straight, and their features smooth, and soft. Their coloring can be anywhere from a deep crimson to a light pink or even purple.
Your Intelligence score increases by 1, and your Charisma score increases by 2.
Infernal Legacy: You know the thaumaturgy cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the hellish rebuke spell as a 2nd-level spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the darkness spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
Venal Tiefling
Venal Tieflings are a fixture in The Mayashi society, but no one knows from where the first of their kind came. Unlike the northern, Faustian Tieflings, Venal Tieflings tend to be thickly muscled, and powerful, with heavy hoofs instead of feet, thick and curling horns like a ram, and coarse black fur over large portions of their body.
Your Charisma score increases by 2, and your Strength score increases by 1.

When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the searing smite spell as a 2nd-level spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the branding smite spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.

Tieflings mature at the same rate as humans but live a few years longer.
