Watchful Order of Magists and Protectors
The Watchful Order of Magists and Protectors is a guild of wizards and sorcerers located in Waterdeep. However, while technically a guild, the Watchful Order functions primarily as a mage academy. They are located in the Tower of the Order on the Street of Bells, near the middle of the block between Selduth Street and Buckle Alley in Waterdeep's Castle Ward.
Public Agenda
Members of The Order have access to a small shop for spell components and magical items in the cellar of the Tower. The Order serves Waterdeep by providing spell wards to individuals, acting fire guards and firefighters, working as spell guards, and policing the use of magic within Waterdeep.
History
The Order resides in the Tower of Order. The Tower stretches four stories tall and is surrounded by a magical fence of green-sparkling lights that coalesce into the symbols of Mystra and Azuth. A mosaic of the hand of Azuth above the Tower's ingress is said to guard the tower, ready to fire spells at any would-be intruders. The Tower's cellars, where the Order's shop is located, is heavily guarded by golems and magical traps.
