Vajra Safahr
Vajra Safahr is the seventh Blackstaff of Waterdeep and the youngest Blackstaff in the city's history. She runs the arcane school Blackstaff Academy out of her ancestral home, Blackstaff Tower.

Vajra is the seventh heir of Blackstaff, which is a title and object passed down from wizard to wizard. The Blackstaff absorbs the soul of the previous heirs, and the current heir has the ability to communicate with them. The staff and title give her access to Blackstaff Tower.
Vajra inherited the title of Blackstaff in 1479 DR when her mentor and lover, Samark Dhanzscul, was killed.
Family Ties
Though not related to Laeral Silverhand, her romantic connection to the former Blackstaff heir has tied her and Vajra together. Many describe their relationship as tense and fraught, but the two get along and generally coexist well together in Blackstaff Tower.
