Ser Merion is a human paladin and a member of The Avowed. He along with his adventuring party, The Bookkeepers, work for Candlekeep and do everything from retrieve books, escort sages to dangerous locations, and go on research expeditions.

Merion grew up in Daggerford and started his career as a guard for the Ducal Castle. He wasn't satisfied with the path he was on there, and left to join the Avowed of Candlekeep.

Merion is the main negotiator of the group, always striving for resolution, diplomacy, and peace.

Merion saw how power can corrupt those even with the best intentions while working for the Ducal Castle, and strives to be an advocate for the common folk. He sees his work at Candlekeep as a way to spread peace throughout Faerûn.
