The Reign of King Perrin

• Coronated at age 17   • Guided and directed the initial exploration of the Basin and made a number of long-term investments which paid handsome dividends in the decades following his eventual death.   • Implemented a tax policy that gave generous tax credits for every child born. The early part of his reign became known as the Time of Children, which saw explosive population growth and put serious financial constraints on what other projects the First King could afford to undertake.   • Fought the Foul Resurgence (0-10 AC), which saw remnants of the Nilroggi Horde threaten the new Kingdom.   • Late in his reign, (48-50 AC) fought the Nilroggi again during the First Incursion. While this war was seen as an existential threat when it was happening, historians later concluded that this was likely a series of forceful probes by the Nilroggi to test human defenses and the capabilities of their new Steppe Wraithe variant of Nilrog.   • Died at the age of 80.   • Ruled for 63 years - the longest serving Monarch in the history of the Kingdom.
