Haaradan

The Haaradan hail from the pre-cataclysm Lands of the Haaradis. Tall, thin, and pale, these humans have a natural affinity for magic. Their numbers are relatively few, and their leadership is intensely interested in protecting the Haaradan bloodline, so this group tends to be highly insular and deeply suspicious of others. Playing as a Haaradan, you can expect that a marriage will be arrange for you with a suitable Haaradan man or woman and you will be expected to do your part to bring pureblood children into the world. You won’t have to stick close to your spouse and you won’t have to take a hand in raising those children (the Haaradan Conclave will happily take care of that detail for you), but participation in this quest is not considered optional. People have been assassinated from trying to leave the Haaradan Conclave and not doing their part.
Given all of this, not many people in the Basin like or trust the Haaradan. They are viewed with a mix of suspicion and fear. All Social Interaction checks made with other Basin Folk are made with Disadvantage. You gain Advantage when dealing with other Haaradan.
Haaradan warriors are pre-cognitive and gain special combat skills. Haaradan spell casters are able to “spell burn” more efficiently and effectively than any other race (see below for details).
They do not, however, get any stat bonuses whatsoever.

Spell Casting Classes (Bard, Cleric, Wizard) start with the Connection to the Weave Feat, in addition to the Feat they choose on character creation. Mixed character classes (Artificer, Ranger, Paladin, Warlock) may choose either/or.
