Welcome!
Please consider this to be the final, canonical word on all things Candle'Bre. If you have no idea what the hell Candle'Bre is, or why you should even care, you're in the right place. While the rest of this encyclopedia will spell out the particualrs of the world, I wanted to use this article to explain the what and why, so here goes: Many moons ago (back in the early 2000's), I wrapped up an epic seven year project that saw me write a quartet of fantasy novels in the spirit of Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit. Even then, I thought that the world of Candle'Bre would be a fun place to run a D&D campaign, but real life prevented me from doing the mountains of work necessary to actually make that a reality. And then the pandemic happened. Suddenly, I found myself with all kinds of spare time, so...I did what I do and sat down to write. It seemed only natural and fitting that a project I had spent so many years on and gotten so much enjoyment out of would be the project I returned to, and that's exactly what I did. This then, the Encyclopedia and all of the other notes here, are my work to convert the four novels I wrote a long time ago into a living, breathing D&D campaign world. It has, and continues to be a labor of love for me, and I hope that anyone who stumbles across it will enjoy it as much as I have. Here's the thing though: A long time before I ever knew this site existed, I was already churning out ebooks. I don't see that there's a ton of value in porting all of them over here when I could simply link to them, so I'll be doing a bit of both.
