Vrixid MacGuffin tbd

So if the Vrixid were a species lost to time and known for their tech, it makes sense that one of their doodads would be useful for a campaign to go have to find.
I'll need appearance, what it does, where it is, and why it's powerful. And why it was lost.
It should be fairly small since the Vrixid themselves are rather tiny. And also probably kind of purple-y since I said that they were purple as well. I think. They should be purple. So this stuff is something to do with mapping the cosmos and the nature of their bubble. How about the device that causes them to move around and be untethered to any particular point in space? That originally they wanted to travel around but they didn't have the stuff that makes a good warp core so they moved their whole solar system instead. But they knew they had to keep it in kind of a pocket dimension to avoid problems.
Except now there's kind of also been a weird hole in space where they used to be and they don't really know how to make it stop because the Vrixid were in hibernation for a long time and the pocket dimension just kind of does its thing.
The device should look complex. It should have a lot of buttons and functions and a cool holographic screen and just look important. The keys should be for very tiny fingers.
It was lost because they hibernated and a lot of stuff changed while they were asleep. Why were they asleep? Some other time.
After a certain point it reached the end of the loop it was supposed to make but home coordinates didn't work anymore so it got a bit lost and now everything is askew and when it moves the entrance is kind of awkward because it's not where it was precisely programmed to be.
