V'Nel

V'Nel is a Vulcan explorer, which is a rare enough thing to find, especially outside of Starfleet, but there she is. She thinks she's famous but honestly not even other Vulcans usually know who she is unless they're related to her in which case they just kind of pretend she doesn't exist.
Comes across as rather scatterbrained for a Vulcan.
She's entirely obsessed with an ancient space-faring race she calls the Vrilnethi. (So this is the Vrixid and the Yilneh and the Tiwethi all combined together because she's not actually that good at this.)
Her focuses are archaeology, linguistics, and other things that would help in those fields, but I want to try to botch her stats so that if she did have to make rolls in these categories it would be against a stat that she doesn't have much so it barely buys her anything. She has a sub specialty of being able to get funding. For a Vulcan, she's quite personable and good at getting people to fund her expeditions because her being Vulcan tempers her enough that she seems serious and smart when any Vulcan could tell you she's practically a valley girl.
Should be a frequent stopper at Starbase 308 and if I kind of run my own rolls for her on the side I can have her pop up and become friends with the players at a moment. Then bring her into a story as someone who might actually know something about this stuff.
She actually does, though. She's amassed almost more data than the Vienaran Sect because she'll take stuff that they've discounted, and since they don't see her as a serious scientist they tend to ignore her work.
