Dissension on the Subject of Blind Belief in the Face of Incongruity
A document written by a group of the Trandrafian nobility led by Duke Sorin Vaneanu seventy-four years after the fall of the Pallid King and the establishment of the Claret Covenant as the steward of the throne and acting head of the government in leu of a new King-Consort. The document outlined several claimed inconsistencies in the doctrines and policies of the Covenant following the conception of its newest itteration, and suggested a reform of the nation up to and including restructuring the hierarchy that places the Red Queen at the head of the nation.
"This document is a heretical manifesto authored by traitors of the Crown, and as such the writings are illegal to own or circulate. Those found in possession of this document and have not surrendered it willingly to the Covenant will be considered conspirators against the Queen. Any spreading of this document is to be reported to the Covenant or its knightly chapters."
- Official decree by the Claret Covenant
Purpose
According to the Covenant, the document claimed a number of falsehoods and heretical doctrine that was intended to decieve other noble families, guilds, and commonfolk to the side of the authors and deny the Red Queen's authority over Her land.
Historical Details
History
This manifesto was written decades after the restructuring of Trandrafia's duchies following the Bloodless Apostasy in which the Pallid King attempted to cut ties to the Red Queen and bring the nation under a new form of rule, bereft of their goddess. Following this civil war, the duchies were in disarray, with many of their noble leaders having been on the losing side of the war and in need of replacements. During this time, the Bleeding Covenant came to the forefront of the political field with the will of the Queen spoken through them. With the duchies under control once again, the Covenant seated itself at the head of the government in lieu of a new King-Consort. After several years of the Covenant's increasing power as the nobility relied increasingly on them, the new head of the Vaneanu noble family, Sorin Vaneanu, penned this manifesto with the input of a few allies in other houses, guilds, and organizations, and disseminated the document to other noble houses and guilds, and to many of the temples the Covenant had built, some being nailed to doors or walls.
The fallout of the manifesto was swift and, unfortunately for House Vaneanu, expected. Convincing few to join their belief, House Vaneanu and their conspirators were labeled disturbers of the Queen's peace and traitors of the crown. What followed was over two years of conflict that ended in the destruction of House Vaneanu and most of their co-conspirators, a few of whom were granted mercy when they switched allegences, but remain in cautionary standing by the Covenant.

Legacy
Despite the author's efforts, the Viper's Revolt, which followed the authoring of the document, only proved to solidified the Claret Covenant's hold on power in the land.
