Chorus of the Ever-living Dark
The Chorus of the Everliving Dark was a cult that rose to prominence during the end of the Bloodless Apostasy in eastern Trandrafia. Their goal was to summon forth a mysterious entity the cult referred to as the “Ever-living Dark”.
The Chorus gathered many members in the duchies of Draebia, Obraria, Sulimania, and Trasnia. Led by a vile man named Loranth the Mad Lyrist, these members sought to cause as much misery and pain as possible as they believed the turmoil of the people would call to their patron and lead them into this world. The last and greatest attempt by the Chorus was within the ancient city of Pyrrhinor, where they set fire to several buildings, poisoned drinking waters, and set monsters loose in the streets.
The cult was ultimately thwarted by a contingent of soldiers within the city with the assistance of a foreign warrior, Galeas Bristroth - later to be known as Lord Galeas Bristroth Dragavei. Galeas Bristroth led a small group of his own loyal warriors who infiltrated the cult's ritual site, cutting the ritual short and killing most of the cult members. Galeas and his comrades turned Loranth over to the Duke of Trasnia for judgement.
Public Agenda
The only known agenda of the Chorus was the summoning of their dark patron or god into this world. A goal that drew more people to its banner and lit a fire under their cause following the Bloodless Apostacy and the defeat of the Pallid King. This ultimately failed and the cult dissolved. Now only rare and unsubstantiated rumors of its continued works in the shadows occasionally spread in association with especially grisly murders.
Divine Origins
The origin of this heretical faith is unknown, only known to have once lived on the fringes of society - most actively within the Duchy of Draebia. Since its dissolution, information on the cult, its members and its full goal have been removed from public knowledge like so many other sects that have threatened the Queen's order.
