After the Ascent the remains of the church of Iedres under the leadership of the last of the great sages formed the new church of the arcane.
The newly appointed Archbishop founded the soon to be world capital Anul around the crystal spire in the centre of Callaria.
In the Mountainrange closest to Anul was a cave system discovered which appeared to house a significant amount of iron and coal. Thus began the construction of a mine with an encampment nearby. Both were named Kreft and Kreft mine
With the scarcity of suitable land for farming in the midlands, the Council proposed and passed a bill sending a significant amount of troops and workers through the Al'amil deserts southward to build a settlement and forge a road for following merchants to bring food and resources back to Anul.
The Expedition towards southern Callaria brought the travel party through the heat of the Al'Amil Desert. There the accompanying merchants decided to establish a camp to mark the halfway point of crossing the desert and the further intention of making it easier for a trading route to be established and a road to be constructed later on.
Southern Callaria was claimed by the noble family "Birak" as the temporary duchy and arm of the church of Anul Nova. Farms were established and the building of a road from what was now called the Southern Kingdom through the Al'Amil Desert to Anul Nova started.
Once a trading route was, established people started pouring into the southern kingdom via the newly built desert road. This led to the expansion of the kingdom to the west and new duchies were formed under the joint kingdom. From this sprung the first contact with the Rafkon that seemed to have inhabitated the plains of southern Callaria so far. The bloody conflict that arouse from this contact with the savage, bearlike humanoid race is most commonly known as the Southern War. It was named after the part of Callaria the war took place in. Casualities were had on either side, both the Rafkon and the human. Though in the end, the duchies of the southern kingdom stood victorious and drove the surviving Rafkon tribes west, into the Ghaba Jungle.
The young monarchy under King Eal'Birak the first was torn, when the noble houses of the Southern Kingdom revolted. In unison did they demand more say in guiding the fate of the monarchical country but most importantly did they want their own duchies within the royal borders. The king did not give into their demands and thus started what was already the second war of the southern kingdom within it's first decade of existence. After suffering heavy losses, both lives and financially, the royalists led by king Birak the first surrendered each noble their own sovereign territory and appointed each as duke or duchess. Henceforth the southern kingdom were divided among the seven high houses of the south.
While the Duke War was ongoing, the merchants and artisans of Anul Nova were inspired by the revolutionary flame of the people in the south. One by one they made their voices heard. The demands to the church and ruling archpriest were clear: Fairer taxation of their work and most importantly the opportunities to found guilds to organize work between themselves and without the intervention of church officials. While the church eventually somewhat gave into the demands, many of the best artisans and most prolific merchants of the time had already left Anul Nova in search of a better life.
Those that left Anula Nova in the wake of the Artisinal Revolution in 18A made their way north. Through snow and ice they found old Dru ruins in the Vori Mountains and decided to found their new city on top of these ruins of old. During the founding of Forbur the artisans and merchants established the Council of Guilds to be the ruling organization for the jurisdiction of Forbur, henceforth known as the Northern Territories.
A chunk of the crystal spire broke off and smashed the western city of scholars and turned the plains into the crystal desert.
After X proposed their plan for a more modern form of both conducting trade with Anul Nova and getting ressources to and from Kivari and Hakur, the works of building a railway system quickly began. Ironside was what the project and later the mechanical train itself was called. Construction took more than a decade and was met with huge scepticism from Anul Nova and parts of the merchant's guild. Worries were that the new form of transportation would put the companies out of work, that specialised in the now older forms of transportation.
