The Final Game

So there were two teams chosen to compete in the final game. The opposing team seemed formidable. My team seemed... adequate enough. The old one left without a word, and sent some young girl to compete in her place. The grumpy one threatened not to show up to the event the next night. Fine by me, more coin for the rest of us, if by some miracle we pulled off a win. Either way, I certainly wasn't about to beg anyone to be in my group. As I suspected he would, he showed up in the end. The people in charge handed out potions that would allow us to breathe underwater to all of the contestants. Then they showed us a medal and told us to find it's twin in the allotted time. Almost as soon as we started, the fancy one ditched the rest of us. Eventually, we swam into an area containing a shark wearing a medal. I sneaked up to the beast and cut the medallion from around its neck while the others worried about defeating it. I believe it was the kind one who actually did most of that work. Soon after that, the fancy one swam in followed by the opposing team. As we were exiting we came across another amulet. It is not the one we were sent after so I didn't trust it, but the interesting one grabbed it. I can't really blame him, not too long ago, I would have done the same hoping to turn a quick profit. As soon as he touched it though, a figure came out of the amulet and my team and I somehow began to fall... The figure identified itself as, Elixium, and asked us to help. Next thing we know, the other team was rousing us and making sure we were OK. I was quite impressed that they didn't take advantage of the opportunity to take the twin amulet from us and claim the prize for themselves. When we claimed our prize of 10 gp, I Was sure to tell the judges about their honorable act. I can't believe we actually pulled it off, but we did. It was a lot of fun too.

Festival

There was a festival going on in town. It was a lot of fun. There were a bunch of games. I Entered several of them, and did horribly in every one! That's OK though I was there for fun, not glory. Despite my failures, or maybe because I refused to let them get me down, I was chosen to be a part of a special team asked to go on a mission. The others chosen seem to be colorful characters, so at the very least it is sure to be an exciting time.
