Xi'Grellar
The High Elves of Thensera live a lavish life that even most of the human upper class would covet. Yet were all the decadence exists there is still a criminal element that seeks to further itself at the cost of others. The Xi'Grellar are a large organized crime family. Their network operates on each of the main civilized continents, and they have localized headquarters in most capital cities. Being more sophisticated than street gangs they instead operate quietly behind the scenes in extortion, smuggling, controlling influencers, and even assassination if the coin is right.
Structure
Head of the Family
The leader of the entire syndicate is known as the Head of the Family. Their rule is final, and like a royal monarch the title is passed down the bloodline as the current Head perishes.Hearts
Individuals who run local chapters/operations are known as Hearts. Hearts answer directly to the Head, and cannot outrank their fellow Hearts.Arms
Lieutenants of the family Arms answer to the Heart of their operation. A Heart may have 1-3 Arms under them at one point in time depending on the number of operations they are running. In general a single operation will be managed "on the ground" by a single Arm.Hands
Hands are the lowest actual members of the syndicate. They answer directly to Arms and do the majority of the grunt work, but they also receive the benefits and support of being a member.Shades
Shades are hopefuls that wish to join the family. Not yet members of the organization they are given the worst jobs and typically receive no benefit of the family until they earn the position of Hand. This means they often have no workable information against the family and receive little communication outside of direct instruction for work to be done.
