Daoyn

The Daoyn are held to be are among the most contrasting of the Hollowborn techno-barbarians as they can in some ways be deemed the most ordinary and least ordinary of the Hollowborn. They fit the physical averages of humanity to an almost suspicious degree, with an almost complete lack of extreme variance in their children according to my own research. Their bronze skin is a rich color even if inconsistent with populations in Midafrik Oligarchies and often freckled (a sign of beauty to hear their people tell it). Their hair follicles are also known to range from a deep red to wild shades of crimson which remain of a similar shade throughout their lives, although they seem to lack any hair beyond that of their brows and scalps. Eyes are similarly uniform in their golden shades and much is made of their near-perfect eyesight and their clarity of sight come night. As should be readily obvious, the Daoyn are likely the result of modifications meant to preserve a fine state of physical health, in its totality there is a certain duality to employing such extensive modification to ensure little hereditary mutation.   The Daoyn are a rather prosperous people, being present across Anw’wn, Coin, Affara and Thule in substantial populations. Three children is generally considered the safest number of young to sire as their near-absent infant mortality creates strains for the subsistence societies which are the norm on Hiber’Cale. Despite this burden, Daoyn are generally fastidious with the upbringing of their children and possess strict taboos regarding proper station by each rank within a family. This seems too often translate to a strong emphasis on community over the individual, their kingdoms are nearly as rigid as Aossi in structure but with much more open demeanors. We of more enlightened births would find these people excessive in the Sanguine but with an irksome propensity to snap harshly to the phlegmatic if they feel an expectation has been failed.   Daoyn are sizable among the Sapphire, Emerald, Silver, Pearl and Onyx. Some are also found among the younger ranks of the Golden guild as well and seem to possess an irregular majority among the Techmarine ‘Brigetan’ of the guilds.
