Danan

One would be forgiven for mistaking the Danan for something less than human and I am in truth uncertain as whether they are truly worthy of the term. The shortest I have seen of their kind tower taller than most men and are not considered that much the lesser in height to Astartes, although their powerful frames lack the sheer bulk that one could attribute to that higher breed. Although their kind can be traced to the Dragon Nations and Ind, their hair is akin to midnight and their hide ranges from bronze to something akin to silver. The only part of their coloring which complies to the norm of humanity is the amber and brown which is commonly seen in their eyes. Their oddities stretch farther than the simple matter of the surface however, with a predatory aspect to their over-sized dental structure and four additional canines for a total of six which are complimented by the hard, feral claws that tip their fingers and toes. In sum, they are something that would be called scandalous were it not for the word of those far higher than this humble scholar.
Danan are uncommon but not especially rare in the blasted wastes of the city-states of the Yominysan continent, where they are often seen as part of mercenary-clans oath sworn to some merchant lord or other. They hold that one should be imminently concerned with the honor of their elders before that of their own and I have indirectly heard that even a well-reasoned argument as to their inferiority can earn the hostility of an entire kin-grouping. While they are overly harsh to outsiders that do not comply to their unreasonable standards of formality, they are reputed to be well-worth the effort to contract as they believe that creative interpretations of a bargain are no different from the dishonor of breaking their word.
Danan are supposedly quite a majority among the Onyx guild and some would go as far as to suggest an irregularly high compatibility with Gene-Seed, likely a rumor but it is known that their Guildmaster is of this people.
