Aossi
The Aossi are among the more populace of the Hollowborn, inhabiting much of the eastern hemisphere of the world. There kinship is largely traced to both the Dragon Nations and Lesser Albian regions of Terra, a legacy that remains somewhat intact in their tendency towards dark browns and ebony manes and physical parameters. While the Aossi are among the closest to being akin to Terran stock, their dissimilarity to their Terran cousins are marked in their eyes and skin. An Aossi’s eyes are almost invariably blue without the introduction of gene-alteration, this wisdom seems to be true in cases of interbreeding beyond their own grouping where the child will always bare the eyes of the Aossi parent. Their most irregular features can be found in their pigmentation, while one might be forgiven for assuming that most Aossi are merely pale, the truth of the matter is that their skin is ‘naturally’ a bright shade of pink. This is most pronounced in some subgroups which are known to be nearly crimson in hue, although this mark of beauty is a recessive trait.
Most of their cultures share a propensity towards militaristic traditions that favor discipline in formation over individual glory, with the imagery of pack beasts being heavily favored in their knotwork especially the Ur-Wolf. Curiously, this is not seen as a collectivist tendency but rather to speak of the role and essential character of the given individual, a view which is illustrated in the sometimes-violent conflicts which arise when one either fails to perform as expected or is compelled for more than is their due. Aossi are unsurprisingly expected to be a touch legalistic and reserved by the reckoning of other Hollowborn.
Among the Second Legion, Aossi form the bulk of the Emerald Guild with a notable presence in the Ruby, Silver and Sapphire Guilds. The master of the Emerald Guild is believed to be of Aossi origin.
