Silrook
Build around a monastery worshiping the Platinum Dragon Bahamut, the houses of the village balance on the mountain ridges of the Rathostian Mountains with a view of the Lasnazar Valley to the south and the Ryahilheinn Mountains to the east. It is said that Silrook is build on the bones of the fallen avatar form of Bahamut, and that the natives are direct decendants of the Platinum Dragon himself. The village is the center of worship for Bahamut due to the monestary. It is an open secret that the village is protected by a patron dragon, D'zrunthanach ("The Gleaming"), an ancient gold dragon living deep underneath the monestary in long forgotten ruins.
Demographics
Silrook is made up of 99% dragonborns. The inhabitants of the town are mostly worshipers and aculytes of Bahamut, but those that don't work in the monastery works in a variety of jobs, most of which is in the service business such as shop owners or craftsmen. Due to the harsh climate, the surrounding area has very little to offer in regards to ressources, and therefore all ressources including food and fabrics have to be imported to the town.

The Shrine of the Gleaming
A small very descrete shrine located near the foot of the stairs leading to the Monastery, and where offerings and prayers can be made to the patron dragon of Silrook. It's a small wooden shrine, with a small sculpture of a dragon carved from stone and decorated with precious metals and gems. At the foot of the sculpture is a basin in which people leave their offerings, mostly coins, gems or other precious items.The Way of the Dragon
The path leading up to the peak of the mountain where the Monastery is located, marked with statues, carvings, and other symbols representing Bahamut and his teachings. He specializes in crafting weapons and armor for adventurers, using only the finest materials. His stall is filled with various swords, shields, and armor pieces on display. The Iron Anvil is a co-owned by Arina, the owner of The Forge of the Dragon. The Rolling Keg: A beverage stall run by a friendly dragonborn named Drog. He serves a variety of drinks, from ale to mead to fruit juices. His stall is decorated with various wooden barrels and casks, with the scent of alcohol permeating the air. The town is build in the traditional style of Deadreachia, which means 2 story buildings with a short lower floor surrounded by a covered walkway, multilayered curved roofs and colorful walls carved from stone with intricate details and symbols.
The buildings are build on the ridges of the mountain, and therefore many of them are either carved down into the mountain, or have been build on stilts. Most of the houses have no gardens, but pathways leading to the stairs to the main floor, or to the covered walkways underneath the main floor.
Climate
The village lies on the top of one of the ridges of the Rathostian Mountains and therefore is a very cold and windy place. In the summer the temperature gets above freezing, but only very rarely are there no snow. The mountain the village lies on is surrounded by banks of shimmering mists said to assume haunting forms when evil creatures are near warning creatures of the danger (result of presence of D'zrunthanach).
