Calandor

Calandor is a world that has existed for millennia of years. From the beginning of life, where gods and eldritch horrors roamed its earth, to the dawn of the first humanoid races, its land is ripe with strife and bloodshed. Towards the end of a century old war between humans and elves, mistrust is ruling the relationships between the nations. In a dark time like this, a simple invention has managed to overthrow the delicate balance achieved post-war: the steam engine. Suddenly a revolution occurred and new manufacturing processes replaced the old archaic ones, leading to the creation of the first factories. Such a thing was, of course, unprecedented; after all this is a land where magic and ritualistic practices was the norm for eons. This new boom in technology ushered the way to the development of new industries, which in turn opened positions of work for the starving population. Hundreds of people rushed to the city centers, leaving the countryside desolate and empty. This is the time of cultural renaissance, where magic and technology collide and new dangers arise.
