Etherweave

Etherweave is a fabric that is created by coating thread, wool, or cloth with Astral Ice, giving it unique properties. While most techniques focus on melting down the Astral Ice and soaking the material, some manufacturing, notably within the Weaver's Spindle, are trade secrets.

History & Usage

Discovery

Etherweave was discovered by accident when a tailor for a noble family was attempting to coat a robe in Astral Ice.

Everyday use

Etherweave is used in clothing to provide durable, comfortable and beautiful clothing. Layers of the material, sewn together, can be as strong as chain mail, and as light as a gambeson. It can shaped, molded, and sculpted, like clay, to make fantastic shapes that would normally require structural supports, but is strong enough to hold up on their own.

Etherweave is easier to infuse with magic, making it a go-to material for the manufacturing of cloaks, armor, and other magical items.
