The Grand Canal
The Grand Canal is a colossal structure built in the Ancient Era by the Meron Supremacy. It is a 2.9km wide, 80km long waterway which cuts through the Arm of Bastian, connecting the Heartland Sea to the Gulf of Ramos. It is known as one of the 9 Wonders of the Ancient World, and is considered the single most important factor in Meron ascendancy.
Purpose / Function
The Grand Canal was built to facilitate world trade by allowing the passage of ships from the northern Heartland Sea to the southern Gulf of Ramos. In the current day, over 45,000 civilian and trading ships pass through the waterway every day, as well as over 20,000 military vessels.
