The Piercing of the Veil was the start of a new Era and of a new calendar with the Piercing signalling its beginning. Seemingly at random, the sky split apart and a field comparable to Aurora lights started to materialise. In several locations around Caeria different forms of energy parted the Veil, most of them taking the form of lightning or rays, destroying it partially and letting energy from different worlds stream into Caeria. Since then, there have been several important discoveries such as things one could consider as magic, a pantheon of Gods or the changing of nature due to elevated mana infusion.

Auroras above the Great Lake
Metaphysical / Paranormal eventAt night, something wondrous sometimes takes place over the lake, ever since the Piercing. Almost miraculously, great aurora like mirages appear above the naval area, visible by all adjoining countries. This first occurred a few months after the Piercing and continues to drive researchers mad because of how incredible of a phenomenon it truly is. The lake's name was furthermore changed by the ruling kings of the adjoining countries with the Whitvalian king, Whitar the 5th, taking charge. Ever since this event, the lake has been known around Caeria as the "Grand Aurora Lake".

Discovery of Fademeave
Political eventThe Elven city of Fademeave was found in the southern part of Whitvalia after a rag-tag group of adventurers had accepted a quest to investigate an account of a forest fire in the region that had slowly spread over the previous year. It turned out that the reason for said fire was the appearance, possibly using translocation magic, of an entire city, populated like any human one. However, living within it were not humans but Elves, creatures with delicate, beautiful features, a certain degree of elegance but most importantly: pointed ears.

The Elven Treaties
Diplomatic actionAfter delegations had been sent out between the Elven and Human societies, accords (or rather treatise) were struck, laws implemented and hostile actions explained. Fademeave was to be a semi-independent city that had great relations with the surrounding countries, namely Whitvalia and Winfalia, which turned out to be a good cause of action. Laws of migration were established and a mixing of races and their cultures ensued.

Abduction of Benjamin Stillwater
Criminal ActivityThe first discovered canvass, 6 years old at the time and having been raised in Blumenthal near Fademeave, was abducted by a spy corps of the Winfalian army under the 2nd crown prince's control. This served as the spark for the Canvas War that lasted almost 4 years and caused over 100.000 deaths.

The Canvas War
Military actionThe Canvas War was one of the most devastating events to ever occur on Caeria. Having stolen and enslaved a canvas from the highly esteemed Academy of Blumenthal, the 2nd crown prince of the Kingdom of Winfalia was assassinated in his sleep by an organisation known as "the Vow", supposedly on the Whitvalian King's orders. This lead to a war between the Kingdoms of Whitvalia and Winfalia with a non-aggression-treaty having been signed thanks to initiative by the council after almost 3.5 years of rape, destruction and death.
