The Burning Omen of Silir

Celestial / Cosmic

Long ago, a strange emission of colour sprayed across the world from the heavens above, like a scorching flame is lit up the world. Red, Greens, Blues, a prismatic array of colour. Many see this as time when the gods abandoned the world, as the Aspects, led by Silir, left to join the heavens, and left the Broken Empire vulnerable to attack.

Long ago, something happened in the heavens, with many different explanations. Colour sprayed from the skies above, radiant swirls were seen in the skies all across the lands, a global Boreas Aurora.
Those that are faithful believe that some divine event happened.
The Church of the Seven marks the day in infamy but also of high standing. For the Burning Omen of Silir marked the departure of the Aspects, holy divinities who guided the Church of the Seven, to join the fight of the heavens..
The Old Faith is divided, as is their nature, believing usually of a battle in the heavens, though the Sigraennen believe their gods used the Aurora as a bridge to war, rather than it being a direct reaction to the battle.
Other theories exist, but are hidden and secret, or expunged and persecuted if spoken of.
The Old Ways believe that the colours came from a merging and creation of some otherworldly powers, similar to the Sea of Chaos.
People of science believe that some catastrophic event has happened to other planets in the Solar system, the usual theorem is a collision of planets.
