Varl

Hailing from the Pillar of the North, the Varl are an ancient, few numbered race, made from the earth itself and mixed with the strength of oxen, they are inured to the effects of age and will never die from it. They resemble great humans, with thick beards, tall and muscular bodies, are around 10-12ft tall, and have two large horns protruding from head. However, because they lack this spark of mortality, even more so than the Eruldar, they are slow to learn. These powerful "giants" are warlike, and competitive, but know that because of their inability to reproduce, there being no females, they must be careful who they fight. Varl are also unable to reproduce with other species, the result always ending in a tragic birth where a deformed child is born still. There currently remains only 5,000,000 Varl known, most of which inhabit the Pillar of the North.

Tyrokse (Pronunciation - Teer-Ox)

Unlike the Varl, hailing from all across Sigraenn and Tir Na Iseldur Tyrokse are not immortal, living as long as a human does. But they are also not as tall or powerful, being around 7-10ft tall. But they do have an innate connection to their god Tyr, or so they say, that gives them inordinate strength when called upon. These Tyrokse are the most different from humans, with the most Oxen-like appearances of thick fur across their entire body, hooves, horns, and a bulls head. Unlike Varl, Tyrokse can reproduce, as they do have females, and sometimes they can even reproduce with a non Tyrokse. Tyrokse are what many people think of when they hear Minotaur, Varl, or Tyrokse, as they have spread far. They use their shipbuilding of longships to cross the Sundering Sea, the Frigid Sea, the Sea of Ara Pyra, the Gulf of Dragons, the Sea of Celos, the Sea of Silir, the Sea of the Elder, and even the Strait of Vetyris, this has granted them a wide range of information and, plenty of land to pillage.   The Tyrokse give birth to roughly 1-3 children, compared to the human's 1-8. Roughly, 1/4. However, because most Tyrokse a raiders, they don't mate with each other very often, and they die out, causing their population to be far lower than 1/4 the human population. Roughly 1/150th, 2 Tyrokse-per-300 Humans, this number did not change with the Ruining, as many Tyrokse were already stabilizing even with their mass deaths from constant raiding.

The difficulty of all social checks are upgraded twice, except for Coercion, which has its ability upgraded twice. They remain in their Wroth until they are incapacitated, after eight hours have passed, or after they make an Average (dd) Discipline/Resilience check to change back.

Minotaur

More similar to Tyrokse than the Varl, the Minotaur resembles Man the most. They hail from the Sea of Celos, though may have come from elsewhere originally. They have fur, but it is sparser on their chests and abdomens, leaving enough room for skin to show. They are generally 6-8ft tall. Of the races of Varl, as a general term, the Minotaur is also the most variable of types, having been formed the most like humans when created.   Minotaur give birth to 1-2 children, compared to the human's 1-8, heavily leaning on 1. Roughly 1/8th, roughly 13 Minotaur-per-100 Humans. However, many Minotaur reside only in Celos, and trade within their isles or with nations of Ara Pyra, lowering the population in mainland Asturica to around 1/600.
