I would say that meeting the group rekindled her drive to continue her efforts. That drive had been slowly dimming as she was starting to get complacent with her time in Corvis. Finding Caitlin again and meeting the whole crew has shaken her back to what she knows she’s meant to do.
She’s also learning what it means to travel with a group. Before this Caitlin had been her only adventuring companion. Now, there’s a whole team who seems to her pretty devoted to taking care of one another. It’s a dynamic she’s seen in civilizations but traveling and fighting alongside a group like this is new for her. She’s learning to trust their judgment (for better or worse) although it proves difficult sometimes. She finds herself wanting to protect them as much as they’ve protected her. After losing her shaman this feels like the only family she has. That safety has also played a role in her vigor to find answers, as she feels strength in numbers for the first time and it’s igniting her willingness to do what she must.
