Weather Patterns

Weather Patterns of Caemothas

Northern Regions (Striror and Arctic Abyss)

Climate

Frigid, with harsh winters and heavy snow year-round.

Weather Patterns

Strong polar winds and occasional blizzards move southward, bringing cold snaps to the Manura Sea and occasionally to the White Waves. The ice-heavy climate around Striror and the Arctic Abyss creates conditions for intense cold fronts, particularly in winter.

Natural Disasters

Ice storms and glacial avalanches are common. Occasional ice tornadoes form, creating swirling blasts of ice and wind.

Manura Sea and White Waves

Climate

Cold and temperate, with variable weather depending on proximity to land.

Weather Patterns

Frequent storms and fog banks move across the Manura Sea, fed by cold polar currents and warmer southern winds from Bruasia. This mixture of cold and warm air currents occasionally spawns severe thunderstorms.

Natural Disasters

Fog tornadoes may appear in the White Waves, confusing sailors with swirling columns of thick mist.

Chaemyar and Bruasia

Climate

Temperate with seasonal variations, prone to spring storms.

Weather Patterns

Warm, moist air from the White Waves meets cooler air from the mountains, creating conditions ripe for supercell thunderstorms and tornadoes.

Natural Disasters

Regular spring and summer tornadoes are seen here, with the central plains of Chaemyar experiencing powerful, category-strength tornadoes during storm seasons.

Galatava Sea and Vindamosa

Climate

Warm and tropical with a monsoon season.

Weather Patterns

Monsoon rains hit Vindamosa and nearby islands during the wet season, bringing torrential downpours and strong winds. Hurricanes develop over the Galatava Sea, especially from summer to autumn.

Natural Disasters

Waterspout tornadoes form in the Galatava Sea, often moving onto Vindamosa as small tornadoes. Hurricanes sometimes spawn tropical tornadoes within storm systems.

The Domain of Calberg

Climate

Unique magical microclimate with intense, unpredictable weather.

Weather Patterns

Arcane disturbances cause sudden storms, with mana-infused winds and rain. This area sees frequent magical storms, with unusual weather phenomena like mana-charged lightning.

Natural Disasters

Mana Twisters (arcane tornadoes) occur here, often infused with magical energy that disrupts spells and affects magical creatures. Lightning tornadoes may also appear during heavy storms, lashing the region with continuous lightning arcs.

Hasslis Waters and Niasano Expanse

Climate

Humid subtropical to tropical, with intense wet and dry seasons.

Weather Patterns

Monsoon winds and humid conditions lead to frequent storms and high rainfall, particularly in the Hasslis Waters. The Niasano Expanse experiences milder conditions but still faces seasonal storms.

Natural Disasters

The frequent cyclones and storms in this area can spawn powerful oceanic whirlpools and occasional waterspouts that affect nearby coastlines.

Brekax, Krutresh and the Howling Wastes

Climate

Arid, with scorching summers and mild winters.

Weather Patterns

Hot, dry winds sweep across Krutresh, with seasonal dust storms and occasional thunderstorms during rare rainfalls.

Natural Disasters

Dust devils and smaller tornadoes form here due to extreme heat and dry winds, though they are generally weaker than those in other regions.

Westview Ocean and Yatu Vakalou Island Chain

Climate

Warm, with a tropical oceanic influence.

Weather Patterns

Tropical storms and hurricanes develop over the Westview Ocean, moving through the Yatu Vakalou islands and affecting coastal regions.

Natural Disasters

Tropical tornadoes occasionally form within larger storm systems, especially during hurricane season.

Southern Regions (Mauvaiscolac and South Pole)

Climate

Glacial and arctic, with freezing temperatures and heavy snowfall.

Weather Patterns

Southward currents bring frigid air across Mauvaiscolac, leading to long winters and deep snow.   Natural Disasters Ice tornadoes form here occasionally, fueled by polar winds, throwing ice and snow in powerful blasts.
